The Enrico Fermi Nuclear Generating Station is a nuclear power plant on the shore of Lake Erie near Monroe, in Frenchtown Charter Township, Michigan on approximately 1,000 acres (400 ha). All units of the plant are operated by the DTE Energy Electric Company and owned (100 percent) by parent company DTE Energy.

This lighthouse is actually two lighthouses. The inner most light is a typical lighthouse - cylinder shaped and 51 feet tall. The outer most light (36 feet tall) is a wood framed building cladded in steel to protect it from the lake. One neat feature this light has is a big "v-shaped plow" attached to the front of the building. This serves to "split" the waves crashing against it and fan them to the side. The outer most building also houses a fog horn. Both had their lights lit for the first time in 1905.

Trestle Falls is among Marquette County's most impressive sights and is also one of the least known waterfalls. The LS&SI railroad crosses an steep river gorge here, reaching over to a sheer rock cliff that rises up impossibly high above the water. Below the towering steel trestle the water pours over a two-tiered drop, the first a narrowing slide into a deep gouge in hard, exposed rock and the lower a tumbled slide tortured by giant blocks of rock. Below these falls the river calms down, entering a sluggish swamp for several miles
